Emberfall Legacy

★★★★★ 4.6 Editor rating

Emberfall Legacy is a proper time sink in the best way. You build a party of four, each with their own skill trees, and the turn-based combat asks you to actually think about positioning and cooldowns rather than just tapping the strongest attack. The difficulty ramps at a fair pace, so you're rarely stuck but never coasting.

The writing is better than it needs to be. Side characters get real arcs, and a few of the mid-game twists caught me off guard. The map opens up gradually, rewarding you for wandering off the main quest line to find hidden encounters.

My one gripe is the menu-heavy inventory system, which feels built for tablets more than phones. Once you memorize where things live it's fine, but the first hour is a bit of a scroll-fest.
